When it was purely just Phantasy Star-related items (like character outfits, cameos from other games, or Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta alternative Sega-related properties) I could imagine this probably would have been done, or would be done. But in the worldwide variant we already don’t have the existence of Cougar NX so that I don’t exactly know if there are other complications seeing Sega’s own properties that might also contribute to not upgrading everything they can within reason.
I can envision that likely out there we’ll still see someone wearing those older collaboration things even when they aren’t rigged up to the very same criteria as new makeup at an identical way and that there definitely would have been outrage when it was made unusable or obsolete. Collabs that have experienced their makeup removed nevertheless have their assets exist on the game so those will probably still be available for jp players.
Only improvements we’ll likely see is the new engine improving shadows, reflections, colors, particle effects and projecting them against the drapes. You may have a look how just applying better shadows and colors can enhance old equipment by assessing ReShade screenshots. The next step after Plains of Eidolon, to me, personally would have been Dragon’s Dogma Online’s receptive fields. I don’t understand this type of mindset. Do you play these game since they’re fun to play? Or would you play with them with the idea that it’s just”worth it” if these 100s of hours are carried over like it’s some type of investment? I read things online like this all of the time and it’s so strange to me. It is a brand new game which brings new adventures to be enjoyed. NG being declared does not somehow negate the fun of now playing PSO2. NG is slated to emerge in 2021, which could be over a year from today. That is so much time to relish PSO2.
Ummm we just got the game in NA some of us did not play JPN servers this whole time and now we are being told any progress we make from the variant we just got will be for nothing if you want to play with the new game. A number people are also spending some cash in this type of the game. They should have just never published this current version in NA and waited until 2021 for this particular one. I’d have never even begun playing if I knew a new variant of a live service match was coming out. They badly take you step forward and two steps back all of the time and it is frustrating. The entire life span for NA is just starting so that it will not make sense in any way. What is the intention of buy PSO2 Meseta this game? This is key information.
